According to the National Library of Medicine 46 percent of Americans will meet the criteria for a diagnosable mental health condition sometime in their life, and half of those people will develop conditions by the age of 14.
Nearly 1 in 5 American adults will have a diagnosable mental health condition in any given year. The vast majority of individuals with a substance use disorder in the U.S. are not receiving treatment. 15.35% of adults had a substance use disorder in the past year. Of them, 93.5% did not receive any form of treatment. A key finding by The State of Mental Health in America.
